The present issue of New Left Review is, I must say, quite wonderful. After a few too many issues filled with nonsense of one sort or another, this issue has great articles on Afghanistan (Tariq Ali), the debt crisis (Robin Blackburn), and Suharto's legacy in Indonesia (Benedict Anderson).
